Sealants
A resin coating to seal the chewing surfaces of permanent teeth to assist in decay prevention for children and adults.
Thermo-Plastic Night Guard
Teeth grinding (bruxing) and clenching are very common problems, usually stress-related and occurring during sleep. This can result in headaches, painful jaw joints, accelerated wear and tear of teeth, and cracked fillings and teeth. Custom fitted for each patient, the guard is worn at night to protect the teeth and ease pressure on the jaw joint from clenching or grinding.
Restorations
Inlays/Onlays
Inlays and onlays require the removal of only decayed areas of the tooth leaving healthy tooth structure intact, resulting in a more conservative restoration. Inlays cover 1-3 surfaces of the tooth while onlays cover one or more cusps (chewing surface of the tooth). Both are lab fabricated making them much stronger than a simple filling.
Crowns
In cases of extensive decay, large existing defective restorations or tooth fracture, crowns are the optimal long-term solution. A crown (sometimes called a cap) covers and protects the tooth and restores it to its original shape and function.
Dental Implant Restoration
An implant is surgically placed into the jaw, replacing a missing tooth, root and all. Unlike a traditional fixed bridge, the adjacent teeth are not touched, making an implant a very conservative restoration. If the patient is a good candidate for this procedure (healthy bone structure, healthy medical history, non-smoker), the success rates are as high as 95%. Patients who have loose full dentures due to insufficient bone now have the option of implant supported dentures that are much more secure and stable.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a virtually invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, clear aligners. Each aligner is worn for approximately 2 weeks, and gradually moves your teeth, before being replaced by the next in the series until the final result is achieved. Invisalign is comfortable to wear and it doesn't require you to change your busy lifestyle. Because the clear aligners are removable, you can still enjoy your favorite foods while brushing and flossing normally.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Porcelain Veneers
Thin tooth colored shells custom designed to wrap around your natural teeth to create a perfect smile. Each veneer is precision-made to exacting standards and individualized for each patient. The finished veneer will improve upon the color, shape, size and alignment of the teeth.
Tooth Colored Fillings & Restorations
Are used to fill cavities on tooth surfaces or to replace old, worn metal fillings or restore missing tooth structure. We offer resin (plastic) fillings and porcelain onlays, inlays, crowns, and bridges. Your teeth will look like you've never had a cavity.
Whitening
Is a take-home process that involves the application of a bleaching gel in custom trays to lighten teeth, giving them a brighter appearance. Our whitening kits are available as a take-home custom tray system with gel strengths of 10-30% that you wear for 30-60 minutes once or twice a day for an average of 10-14 days until your teeth have reached their optimal whiteness.
Snoring & Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Light snoring is no more than an occasional embarrassing habit, but chronic, heavy, loud snoring may signal a condition called obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) which is frequently associated with hypertension, stroke and cardiopulmonary problems.
Snoring usually occurs when you naturally relax during sleep and your lower jaw and tongue drop against the back of your throat. This constricts your airway and normal airflow. Your breathing intensifies ,causing the soft tissue at the back of the throat to vibrate. Large tonsils, bulky neck tissue and excessive soft tissue can contribute to this problem. In obstructive sleep apnea, breathing can be totally and repeatedly stopped for ten seconds or longer during sleep. For approximately 20 million apnea sufferers, more than half of their sleep time is oxygen deprived. Their hearts work much harder and they wake up unrefreshed and sleepy. They can fall asleep during the day, sometimes even behind the wheel.
Special sleep tests and oral appliance therapy are available to help stop snoring and help with mild to moderate OSA. A custom designed oral appliance holds the mandible forward during sleep to prevent the tongue and soft tissue of the throat from collapsing into the airway.
Let us help you get a good night's sleep.
